Hailing from the singularly vibrant musical hotbed known as Chicago, CHEER-ACCIDENT has been a creative, vital force in rock music for over 30 years. They constantly strive to surprise their audiences and themselves through relentless reinvention. From dreamy pop to angular art-rock, CHEER-ACCIDENT strikes a powerful balance between personalized and unique studio wizardry and the visceral excitement of a well-honed, explosive live rock band. The band is currently an octet, composed of various members who have come and gone throughout the past two decades. Their body of work is unparalleled in its ambition and originality, and their most recent releases, “Putting Off Death” and “Here Comes The Sunset” (to name just two, on Cuneiform and Skin Graft, respectively) demonstrate how the band continues to improve with each passing year.
Hailing from the abundant music scene of Atlanta, GA, Yerfdaas is an instrumental fusion trio that weaves and bobs around categorization. With roots in Atlanta's music scene, including involvement in projects such as Fuiste, the Atlanta Space Quartet, Catfish John, rare demo, and Trauma City, Yerfdaas members bring a big bag of influences to their performances.
Composed of Skylar Brillante on drums, Johnny Bakos on bass, and guitarist Lane Gardner, Yerfdaas embodies a dynamic synergy born from a desire to explore. Each member contributes a distinct artistic perspective, harmoniously intertwining their talents to produce something especially swiii’d out. Yerfdaas delivers performances that are not only engaging showcases of skill and creativity, but also exude the sheer joy of making music.
Drawing comparisons to a wide range of artists from Don Caballero to D’Angelo, Yerfdaas' sound is a captivating journey through sonic landscapes, where every note is a testament to their collective musical vision.
Cameron (he/they) is a percussionist, composer, and educator living in Dekalb County, GA whose work exists at the intersection of ethereal soundscapes and visceral rhythmic drive. Their music is a living ecosystem, organically weaving together ambient textures with propulsive beats, drawing lessons from the intricate rhythms of the natural world, from the microscopic pulse of a cell to the grand cycles of the seasons. As a nationally renowned performer, Cameron is a 2017 YoungArts national finalist in music and a recipient of multiple fellowships and creative residencies, including the Hambidge Center for Creative arts and Sciences.
