Harlan Steed is a producer, musician and bass player who splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City.

Better known as producer and bass player of NY hardcore punk outfit Show me The Body, Steed’s solo music

showcases his gothic sensual style as well as his collaborative approach. Working with a revolving cast of band

members and producers from both LA and NY, elements of Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails, Danzig and

TV On The Radio can all be heard in his solo work. With themes of love, grief, lust, desire, regret, heartbreak,

darkness, death, and sexuality, Steed’s solo music explores a different side of him than we’re used to seeing in his

NY hardocre roots
