Fusing Brazilian influences and dreampop, indie, art pop, and shoegaze, Pterocat started as a duo with both Thaïs Dahas and Colby Granger on guitars and vocals, and has now transmuted into a 5-piece, with Sam Horwitz on drums, Deanna Harris on bass, and Nathan Forsyth on keys/guitar.

Since moving from Rio de Janeiro to Atlanta in 2016, Brazilian artist Thaïs Dahas was inspired to make music informed by the experience of migrating and finding community within another country and culture. After meeting Georgia born musician Colby Granger in 2018, a strong connection was built around music, and they have been playing and writing together ever since.

Having mostly released singles and one EP so far, Pterocat is now excited to share their first album, “Slow Blink”, this fall. First single “Anti” is already out on bandcamp/all platforms, and “Bird” will be released 9/25.
